Carroll Charles Spence, 74, passed away at Jackson Medical Center on January 26, 2018. He was born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida and was the oldest of eight siblings. He resided in Jackson, AL. Carroll served in the United States Navy, at one time in Vietnam. He retired from the military after traveled the world in places such as Bombay, India and the Philippines. Carroll loved being involved with the veterans and recently went on an Honor Flight to Washington. He liked to deer hunt and bream fish. Carroll loved old country music and bluegrass. He was the "Red Stick" with a group called the "Diamondback Muzzle Loaders." His second retirement was from Mobile Asphalt, Jackson, AL and his third retirement was from Blossman Gas. Carroll was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Salitpa. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and enjoyed being part of the Brotherhood Breakfast Club.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018, 11:00 - 12:00 Noon, Evergreen Baptist Church with the Funeral Service following at 12:00 Noon. Bro. John David Stewart and Bro. David Webb will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment with Full Military Honors will be at the Bethel Cemetery.
