Warren Smith, 69, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024.
Mr. Smith was a resident of Grove Hill, Al, where he lived with his wife, Connie, of 40 years and their two sons.
Mr. Warren loved the outdoors. He took pride in his home, and made sure that their yard was immaculate. If he wasn't doing yard work, you could find him working on a lawnmower. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines.
Mr. Smith was a faithful member of Grove Hill Baptist Church in Grove Hill, Al. He loved listening to gospel music. He also enjoyed making wooden crosses, and he even made a large one out of plumbing pipe, because the Lord led him to do so.
Mr. Warren had three dogs that he loved to spoil, so much that their treats consisted of chicken nuggets and bacon. All three had a place to sleep with him in his bed. In his younger years, he enjoyed raising Collies. He was a true dog whisperer.
Mr. Smith loved watching the Andy Griffith show and The Beverly Hillbillies. He also enjoyed westerns, such as Gunsmoke.
Mr. Smith is survived by: his wife, Connie Smith; his sons, Thomas Warren Smith and Jason (Carrie) Smith and his sister, Jane Burgan.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by: his parents, Dossie Albert and Irma McLendon Smith; his brothers, Steve Smith and Albert Smith and his siter Jean Parden.
A Grave Side Service will be on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Smith Cemetery in Jackson, Al
