Bert Coleman Obituary

Bert McKinner Coleman, 88, died at Mobile Infirmary on February 22, 2018. He was a native of Alabama and a resident of Clarke County. Bert was faithful in attending church services until his health failed.  He graduated from Clarke County High School where he played all sports. Bert was an outstanding football player and had earned a scholarship to college but was drafted into the Army. Bert served in the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bert had hunting dogs that he used specifically for deer, coon, and birds.  He raised horses and showed them at horse shows. He was a dedicated  Alabama Fan. Bert met his wife, Betty, in Grove Hill and they were married for Fifty Six years. The two of them were always together. They enjoyed life camping at Gulf State Park Campground and other campgrounds.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2018, 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Union Baptist Church with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 AM. Bro. Carey Howard will be officating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers donations made be made to The Parkinson's Research Society or your favorite charity.
