Charlotte Louise (Martin) Edwards

Charlotte Louise Martin Edwards, 87, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her residence in Jackson, AL. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1949. After graduation, she met her husband, John "Tom" Thomas of Remlap, AL. Before being deployed they went to Columbus, MS and were married on December 24, 1950. Louise and Tom had been married for almost 68 years. She was a member of Peniel Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist for 40 years. Louise helped with the Christmas plays, Easter Cantadas, VBS and was also a Sunday School teacher at the Church. She was involved with Outreach projects such as Operation Christmas Child, Clothes Closet, and The Alfa Center. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and cooking. Louise loved her family dearly and they loved her too.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 27, 2018, 1:00 PM ~ 2:00 PM, Peniel Baptist Church, McVay, AL, with The Funeral Service following at 2:00 PM with Bro. Billy Kendrick officating. Interment will be at Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery. Services will be directed by St. Stephens Funeral Home.
