Donna Gaynell (McCrory) Anderson

Donna Gaynell McCrory Anderson, 67, passed away November 5, 2019, at her home in Grove Hill, AL. Donna was raised up in Antioch Baptist Church and New Prospect Church.  She graduated from Clarke County High School in 1968. Donna married her husband, Wiley Edward Anderson, Jr. on October 25,1969. She was a homemaker, loved to sit with the sick, loved gardening, canning, loved to sew and make quilts. She also loved to read Danielle Steele Books, watch Game shows and anything related to Indian Artifacts. Donna helped her husband in the pulpwood business, even when she was pregnant. She was a very hard working woman.  Donna loved her family and friends, they were her world.  People would say if you left Donna's house hungry, then that was your own fault.  Donna would sometimes say to her children and grandchildren " I'm going to get the fire poker after you", but she loved them more than anything in the world.  Donna's family said their Mom was upbeat throughout her illness, and said she was going to keep on fighting!

There will be a wake on Thursday evening, November 7, 2019, 6-8 PM, at Antioch Baptist Church, Jackson, AL.  Funeral Service will be Friday, November 8, 2019, 10:00 AM, Antioch Baptist Church. 

Officiating will be Bro. Danny Chancey and Bro. Justin Olvey with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.  Interment will be at New Prospect Cemetery, Coffeeville, AL.
