Harry Elvin "Bully" Grimes, 82, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his house, surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and a resident of Washington County, AL. Bully lived across the street from Louise Stewart whom he dated 2 years before they married in 1960. He was a life long member of Midway Assembly of God. Bully retired from Lone Star cement plant after over 25 years. He started out as a deck hand and cook, then became towboat pilot until the plant closed. Bully sunk a tugboat but never got wet and that was quiet a story. His hobbies included wood work, gardening, birds, and flowers. Bully enjoyed get togethers with his sisters at Thanksgiving, where they had a wonderful time and had lots of fun teasing each other. He sang with The Journeyman Quartet. He sang bass and his son, Neal played the bass guitar. Bully always looked forward to face timing with his great grandson. He was a handsome, kind, gentle giant that never met a stranger and was everybody's friend. Bully was meticulous about his hair and cologne, everything had to be just right. He leaves behind many loved ones, many friends, and a life long friend, Johnny Ray Goldman, (he was as close as a brother).
