Jimmy Brewer Obituary

Jimmy Lee Brewer, 78, passed away at his home on August 24, 2019.  He was a member of First Pentecostal Church, Jackson, AL.  Jimmy worked at Furr's IGA for over twenty years and then worked for Cloverleaf Dairy.  After that, he worked with Clarke Washington Electric Management Cooperation for many years before retiring.  Jimmy enjoyed growing vegetable gardens and fishing.  He was married to his wife of over 60 years, Barbara Anne Guy Brewer.   His children and grandchildren said he would always say, "Pennies make dollars.!"  They also said Jimmy would always sing to them the "Red Bug Song."  Jimmy was all about helping folks, never met a stranger and was not judgmental.  He was indeed a "selfless" man and one would never hear a bad word about him.  Jimmy really loved his family, especially the grands and greats.  He would always make sure their needs were met.  Jimmy will be missed by all that knew him.

Visitation will be Monday, August 26, 2019, 10 ~ 11:00 AM at First Pentecostal Church, Jackson, AL followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.  Officiating will be Bro. William Hales and Bro. Ronald Rivers with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.  Interment will be at Peniel Community Cemetery.
