Sharon Carpenter Ross-Akridge, 68, passed away on December 8, 2018, at their camp house in Stockton, AL. She was a member of Stockton First Baptist Church,Stockton, AL. Sharon was a 1969 graduate of Leroy High School. She was a town clerk for McIntosh for over 33 years, retired in 2015. During that time she served on several committees such as McIntosh Five Point Sewer District, and McIntosh Betterment Association, and Alabama League of Municipalities. Sharon was also a volunteer for Women's Clinics (Alpha Resource Center). Her family was small (husband, 2 sons, their wives, 3 grands, 1 sister, 1 aunt) but she loved them dearly, more than anyone could ever imagine.
Special thanks goes to caregiver, Mary Ann Thompson for all the love and wonderful care she gave to Sharon.

Otis Thames will be officating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at McIntosh Baptist Church Cemetery.
