Thelma Pugh Obituary
Thelma Louise Edge Pugh, 95, passed away on October 29, 2019. She was a native of Alabama and a resident of Clarke County, AL. She was a member of Tompkins Baptist Church most of her life. Ms. Thelma was also a member of North Allen Homemaker's Club and Tompkins Joy Group (which stands for "Just Older Youth"). Ms. Thelma was the "middle" child of her three siblings. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, baby shoes, doilies, and other things. Ms. Thelma loved to cook and can vegetables. Her children said she was the BEST Mother anybody could ask for and was also the most GIVING person you would ever meet. Ms. Thelma enjoyed "fixing up pretty" and she was JUST AS Pretty inside as she was on the outside!
Three of her favorite sayings were:
"Bloom where you are planted!" "It IS what it IS!" And....one she lived by... "If you see somebody that needs a smile...give them one of yours!" How much better the world would be if we would always be mindful of this!

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2019, 10 ~ 11:00 AM, at Tompkins Baptist Church, Grove Hill, AL. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Officiating will be Dr. Johnny Kendrick with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at the Grove Hill City Cemetery.
