Wilber Forrest Jones, Jr., 73, passed away January 21, 2019, in Mobile, Alabama. He was a native and resident of Jackson, Alabama.
Growing up, Wilber worked at the family grocery store, Jones Grocery. He was a 1963 graduate of Jackson High School and served in the United States National Guard. He was hired at Allied (then Boise, now PCA). Wilber retired after many years as the crew leader on the recovery boiler.
Wilber loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He especially liked coon hunting, turkey hunting, and bird hunting. He loved spending time on his land and at his camp, affectionately called "The Holiday Inn South." Some wonderful times were had at his gatherings there, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends. He loved to talk and make personal connections with people. Those who knew and loved him treasured his words of wisdom.
