William Abner "Monk" Knight, Sr.

William Abner "Monk" Knight, Sr., 90, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2019. He was a native of Alabama and a resident of Washington County, AL. "Monk" was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for over 75 years. He worked for the state as a Game Warden for 30 years. After retirement, he worked as a game warden for private landowners. Monk was a farmer all his life and he also enjoyed bluegrass music. He was also in a bluegrass group and played the fiddle. Every Wednesday he would have coffee and zoo zoos at his house with his Bethel Church group. Monk loved his family and friends and he will be sadly missed by all.

Visitation will be Friday, March 22, 2019, 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 AM, at Bethel United Methodist Church, Tibbie, AL. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Bro. Braxton Eldridge will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery.
