In Loving Memory of Allen Murel Guy
On August 9, 2025, Allen Murel Guy returned home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, leaving behind a legacy woven with devotion, love, and unwavering faith. His departure marks not only a profound loss for his family and friends but also the passing of a man whose heart and spirit touched all who were blessed to know him. Allen’s life was a testament to tireless work and steadfast dedication. Known as a hard worker and a devoted family man, he poured his heart into everything he did. The depth of his love for his children and grandchildren cannot be measured—he cherished them beyond words, and they returned his affection in kind. To his grandchildren, he was lovingly called “Popa,” a name that will continue to echo in the laughter and memories they share. Allens faith formed the cornerstone of his life. As a faithful member of Clear Water Assembly of God Church in Wagarville, Alabama, he worshipped with a heart full of devotion, living out his beliefs daily and inspiring those around him with his example. The warmth of his faith provided comfort and guidance both within his home and among his church family. Allen found joy in the simple pleasures such as hunting, softball, and football were among his favorite pastimes. His loyalty as a Crimson Tide fan was unwavering, and his support of the Leroy Bears was legendary. He attended every game he could, cheering with gusto, and when his health no longer allowed him to be present in person, he continued to follow scores and celebrate victories from afar. Gatherings around the television, surrounded by family and friends, were cherished traditions, filled with laughter, excitement, and camaraderie. One memory, in particular, stands out is a day when Allen, so engrossed in an Alabama football game, became so animated that he hollered at the screen, startling everyone and causing his hair to stand straight up. His enthusiasm was infectious, and moments like these will live on in the family’s collective memory, bringing smiles and warmth whenever they are recalled. Allen’s legacy is not measured solely by the milestones of his own life but by the lives he has shaped and the love he has given. Family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to share in his presence will miss him deeply, yet his spirit endures in the lessons he imparted, the faith he embodied, and the love he freely gave. His story continues through his children and grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion. In mourning Allen’s passing, we also celebrate the richness of his life, the laughter, love, and the faith that defined him. We remember a man who loved fiercely, believed deeply, and lived fully. May his legacy inspire all who knew him to cherish family, nurture faith, and find joy in every moment shared.
Rest in peace, Allen Murel Guy. Your memory will remain a guiding light for generations to come.
