Angela (Overstreet) Reed

Angela Overstreet Reed, 57, a resident of McIntosh, Al, passed away at her home on Monday, April 29, 2024.

     Angie was born July 16, 1966 to her parents, Arnell Overstreet and Vergie Brunson Stephens. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in McIntosh, Al.

     Angie graduated from Jackson High School and was a bookkeeper for the family business. In 2022, she underwent a double transplant of the kidney and liver. She was a huge Alabama fan, and rarely missed watching a game.

     Angie had a smile for everyone she met. She was a loyal friend to many. She will be missed and remembered as a fun-loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, granny and friend. She was known by her nieces and nephews as the "Cool Aunt." And to her only grandson Dawson, he fondly called her Granny. Her greatest joy was being with her family.

     Angie is survived by her husband, Curtis Reed; step-mother, Janice Overstreet; daughter, Makayla (Clay) Weaver; brother, Joe Overstreet; sisters, Debbie Martin and Suzie Murphy, and grandson, Dawson Weaver.

     Angie is preceded in death by: her parents.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Reeds Chapel Church in McIntosh, Al at 11:00 AM, Funeral at 12:00 PM and interment to follow at Reeds Chapel Cemetery.
