Remembering a Life Filled with Love, Laughter, and Faith
Mrs. Betty went home to be with Jesus on November 7, 2025, surrounded by those she cherished most. Her gentle spirit, radiant smile, and heartfelt laughter touched the lives of everyone she met. Mrs. Betty was a beautiful, caring, and loving person whose sense of humor brought joy and comfort to family and friends alike.
As a devoted Christian, Mrs. Betty maintained a deep and personal relationship with Jesus throughout her life. Her faith was the foundation of her character, evident in every action and word. Gospel music filled her heart with joy, and among her favorite songs was "Beulah Land," which brought her both peace and inspiration.
Mrs. Betty was truly a homemaker in every sense of the word. With her gentle and loving nature, she had a remarkable ability to transform any house into a warm and welcoming home. She treasured time spent with her family, creating countless memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. There is no doubt that Mrs. Betty will be deeply missed, but her warmth, kindness, and faith will continue to inspire and comfort her loved ones for generations to come.
Mrs. Gates is survived by son Keith Harbin, daughter Angela Courington, grandchildren Anthony Hinsen, Credence Calloway and Nicole Calloway, Great grandchild Jayden Hinsen.
She is Preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Earline Hill, husband, Thomas Gates and son, Rusty Calloway.
Services are Monday, November 10, 2025, at Asbury Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 2: 00p.m funeral at 3: 00p.m interment to follow at Asbury Baptist Church cemetery.
