Betty J. Payne was called home on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Mrs. Payne was quite the leader and a good woman, yet very opinionated. She was a very hard worker. She worked for forty plus years with Vanity Fair. She had the opportunity to work in several of their facilities all over the world. After retiring, she moved into the Stix River Campgrounds in Baldwin County. She absolutely loved living there. She enjoyed helping around the grounds and meeting new people.
Mrs. Betty came from a large family, so family was very important to her. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, who fondly called her Grandma. She will be dearly missed by all of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Mrs. Payne is survived by: Son, Michael (Phyllis) Payne; Grandchildren, Josh Payne, Corey Payne, Cara Payne, Jacob Payne, Dusty Payne, Kane Etheredge, Will Payne, Hunter Payne,
Luke Payne, Jessica Jackson, and Christopher Payne, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Payne is preceded in death by: Parents, John and Lillian Seibert; Husband, Williams Raymond Payne Sr; Brother, John Seibert; Sisters, Janis Lowe, Patricia Payne, Lillian Taylor,
Peggy Slayton, Sis Hergenroder; Sons, Ricky Payne, William Raymond Payne Jr; Daughter, Debra Etheredge; Grandson, Brandon Payne.
A memorial service will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Fairford, Al, on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
