Betty Grimes Stoker, passed away Tuesday March 22, 2022 at the age of 84. She was a native and resident of Washington County and graduated from Leroy High School in 1956. Betty retired after working 43 years as a seamstress at Vanity Fair. She was a member of Midway Assembly of God Church where she served as Sunday School/Church Secretary for 40 plus years. Betty enjoyed working in her yard, specifically mowing the lawn and keeping it perfectly manicured. She kept a journal for years. Anytime you wanted to know the day and year of a past event you could ask her. Betty had an infectious laugh that was recognizable by everyone who knew her.

Services will be held Friday March 25, 2022 at Midway Assembly of God Church. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with Funeral following immediately. Interment will be held at Midway Community Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Lamar Chapman, Rev. Sammy Taylor and Rev. John Loper with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
