Billy Roger Baxter, 80, passed away on February 10, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family. Billy was a graduate of Washington County High School. Soon after graduating he joined the Army, he served for over 20 years. While in the Army he was part of the "Selma March". Billy worked over 42 years in Instrumentation and was a "No Refusal of Ot" type of man for all the years he worked. He was married to his wife Jeanice for 51 years. Billy was called "The Handy Man of McIntosh". He was a member of Citronelle Masonic Lodge #637, where he earned the honor of 32nd degree. He also enjoyed hunting & fishing. At one time he raised gardens, raised cows, sold watermelons and was a "Country Farmer". If anyone needed help he would try his best to help. Billy will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
God’s purpose and plan
Is sometimes concealed,
But someday His purpose
Will be revealed.
Someday God’s wisdom
Will make it very plain,
Why problems were permitted
And how He uses pain.
Things thought illogical
Disease, tragedy, fear
Will someday make sense
When God makes all things clear.
We’ll see the Lord’s purpose
From the Lord’s point of view,
And we’ll know the answers
In ways we never knew.
Until we’re home with God
Some answers must wait,
Until His plan unfolds
We’re called to live by faith.
