Brenda Haynes Hudson, 82, of Jackson, Al, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Ms. Hudson was a very talented woman of God. She loved listening to a good sermon and gospel music. She was a professional gospel musician herself. She was trained at the Stamps Quartet School of Music. She also attended the Birmingham Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, where she graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1964. After many years of nursing, she went on to teach the CNA Program at Alabama Southern Community College in Thomasville, AL. Some of her other talents included cross stitching and crocheting.
Ms. Brenda was a very private person and could handle any situation that presented itself. The only thing that hurt her the most was the loss of her daughter, Stephanie, in 1994. But through her love and faith in the Lord, she went on with life until illness riddled her body. She was a smart, courageous and strong Saint for the Lord and she will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Ms. Hudson is survived by her daughter, Lynn Hudson Bodenhausen, and her special adopted children, Jake Brown and Jeff (Jennifer) Palmer.
Ms. Hudson is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Frances Haynes, her husband, Morris Hudson, her daughter, Stephanie Hudson and her brother, Anthony Haynes.
Visitation will be held at St. Stephens Funeral Home on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM, funeral at 3:00 PM, with Bro. Joe Bedwell officiating and interment to follow at Pine Crest cemetery in Jackson, Al.
