Carol Clark Weems, 65, passed away at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile Alabama on December 11, 2023
Mrs. Weems was born to her parents, Bobby and Eugenia Mae Clark, on August 21, 1958. She lived in Washington County all of her life. She graduated from Washington Co. High school in 1976. She married the love of her life, Leslie David Weems, in June of 1977, and the two were married for forty six years. During their marriage, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kayse and Chelsea.
Mrs. Weems was a stay at home mom where she absolutely enjoyed taking care of her children and in her later years her grandchildren. She was so loved by all her family.
Mrs. Weems was a faithful servant at the Howard Town Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School there for twenty five plus years and she also sang in the choir. She loved taking pictures of nature, sunsets and all of God's creation. She also loved spending time, playing with and taking selfies with her precious grandchildren. She was fondly known to them as Nanny.
Mrs. Weems favorite hobby was crocheting. She loved to crochet baby hats and booties. She would often donate some of her crocheted items to the Alfa Pregnancy Center in Jackson, Al. She liked to fish and was an avid Alabama Football fan. She was a precious, giving soul and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Weems's is survived by: her husband, Leslie David Weems; her daughters: Kayse (Ira) Brown and Chelsea (Kyle) Savage; her sisters: Irene (Pete) Williamson, Sharon (Ronnie) Reed, Linda Haney and Dana (Larry) Windham; and her grandchildren: The Browns- Johnie, Maggie, Ellie Lou, Charlie and Jaxon and the Savages-Savannah, Sawyer, Xander and one on the way. Bonus Siblings: Charlotte Howard, Vickie Watts and Johnnie Clark; and a Host of beloved aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Weems is preceded in death by: her parents: Bobby and Eugenia Mae Clark and Father and Mother-in-Law, Sam Fisk and Melba George; her sister, Teresa Clark; and nephews, Lee Reed and Jalston Miles.
Visitation will be held at the Howard Town Baptist Church in Tibbie, Al on December 17, 2023 at 12:00 pm, Funeral at 1:00 pm with Bro. Jamie Lay and Bro. Tim Martin officiating and Interment to follow at Howard Town Baptist Church Cemetery.
