Charles William Blackwell Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson, Alabama. Charles was a true outdoorsman who cherished all that nature had to offer. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time on his boat along the river. Gifted with a musical spirit, Charles was also a talented singer and guitar player, delighting in entertaining his friends. If Charles wasn't entreating his friends around the campfire, He was watching Alabama Football or soft ball. he was an avid Crimson Tide fan. Throughout his life journey, he owned and operated several businesses, demonstrating his entrepreneurial drive and dedication. Charles devoted many years to his work as a saw filer supervisor, earning a reputation as one of the best in the industry. His skills extended beyond saw filing; he was an exceptional carpenter who could build anything he set his mind to. As a steadfast Christian, Charles loved the Lord with unwavering faith and lived his life as an example to others. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends.
He is survived by his family. and his care givers Bud and Amber Parnell. Charles is Preceded in death by his parents, Broox and Christine Blackwell, brother, Lawrence Blackwell.
