Cliffton "Cliff" Edward Williamson was born on November 11, 1963 and passed away on January 11, 2021.
He worked at Huntsman Advanced Materials in McIntosh, AL for 31 years.
Cliff was a simple and content man. He could be found at work, in his recliner watching golf, baseball, or a cooking show, or wherever his children were.
His time with his children was mostly spent making memories. Those memories include hundreds and hundreds of hours at the ball field. Cliff rotated from coaching in the dugout to cheering in the stands. Rain or shine, as long as he wasn’t working, he would be cheering on his son and daughter.
Cliff cheered for his beloved Atlanta Braves, win or lose. He was a diehard fan of the king, Elvis Presley. He enjoyed a round or two at the golf course. And on Saturdays he yelled, “War Eagle”.
He genuinely enjoyed his time at work and he considered his Huntsman coworkers his extended family.
He held many titles in his lifetime, but his favorite two of them all were “Dad” and “Pop”.
Survivors include his #1 son, Christian (Hannah) Williamson, his precious daughter, Christiana Williamson, one grandson, Roman Alexander Williamson, his father and stepmother, Charles (Phyllis) Williamson, two brothers, Steve Williamson and William Williamson, and four sisters, Leslie Williamson Gaut, Jennifer Williamson Driskell, Stephanie Williamson, and DeAnna Parnell.
Cliff is preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Parnell, maternal grandparents, William Curtis and Augusta Blount Beard, and paternal grandparents, William Fox and Jewel Williamson.
Pallbearers included: Norris Thornton, Scott Ryland, AJ Howard, Timmy Crager, Josh Williams, and Zane Warr.
Honorary Pallbearers were his Huntsman coworkers and work family.
Services were held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Thursday, January 14, 2021. The visitation began at 11:00 AM and the Funeral Service began at 12:00 PM. Long time friends Rev. Ray Odom officiated and Sis. Sarah Odom played a collection of songs on piano, including Gospel an, of course, Elvis Presley. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.
