Curtis Ray Sanderson, 80, passed away at his home in Millry, Al on January 3, 2024.

     Millry, AL: Curtis Ray Sanderson, age 80, went home to be with the Lord at his home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 6:24 a.m. surrounded by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda.  
Born on July 2, 1943, he was one of five children of the late Acie and late Nettie Sanderson.  A lifelong resident of Millry, Alabama who loved living in the country and farming. He worked hard his whole life and his greatest joy was taking care of his family.  There was nothing more important to him than his love of God and the love of his family. He was always one to keep busy and you could surely find him on his tractor cutting grass or tending to the fields. He was a friend to all and would do anything for them. He truly exemplified “love thy neighbor.” 
     He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Martha Alinda Sanderson (Linda); son Curtis Dewayne Sanderson and wife Sabrina of Millry, Al; daughter, Angie Lynn and husband Kyle of Mobile, Al; beloved Pa to granddaughter Sophie Sanderson (Will) of Mobile, Al, and granddaughter Madeline Sanderson of Millry, Al. He is survived by his brother Roland Sanderson and wife Janelle of Millry, Al; sister Gayle Smith of Jackson, Al, as well as many nieces and nephews.   

 He is preceded in death by his parents Acie and Nettie Sanderson, sisters Curnice Ross and Ruth Koen.  

Visitation will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Mike Rasberry and Pastor Jeremy Smith will be officiating.  Pallbearers will be Brian Sanderson of Millry, Al, Greg Goldman of Millry, Al, Mackey Koen of Millry, Al, Kaleb Pittman Scyrene, Al, Dexter Koen of Millry, Al, and Will Hatley of Mobile, Al.
