Cynthia Denise Daniels Pezent, 61, passed away at Mobile Infirmary Wednesday, February 22, 2023. A native of Clarke County, Denise was born February 27, 1961. She graduated from Jackson High School and worked in various retail stores in the area as well as substitute teaching while raising her family.
Being a homebody, Denise enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and garden. She loved watching the hummingbirds that came to her flowers and feeders. A fun, outgoing person, she spent much of that home-time with her children and grandchildren, even going fishing all along. She often reached out to help those around her who may have a need—a service that brought joy to her heart.
Being a lover of arts and crafts, Denise went all out when decorating for the holidays, having boxes and boxes of decorations. That love for arts and crafts also led her to visit many of the festivals in the area and even beyond. Gatlinburg was a favorite destination that allowed her to enjoy the mountains and also experience the mountain crafts.
As a member of the ECHOTA, Cherokee Tribe of Alabama, Denise would often claim her heritage and attend the pow-wows held by the clans. Some of the memories she made there have been passed on to her family.
She will be sorely missed by the family that she loved so and who loved her just as much.
