David Harold Jones

David Harold Jones, 56, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020. David was a graduate of South Choctaw Academy and was a member of First Baptist Church of Leroy. David worked with Borden Dairy Company from 2003 to 2018. He was married to the love of his life Portia for 29 years. David and Portia met on a blind date and was married less than a year later. He taught the 5th & 6th grade Sunday School Class at FBC and was also on the building and ground committees. David enjoyed watching the deer graze instead of killing them "unless" it was a big buck. He also enjoyed fishing and cutting grass. David was a trooper in every aspect of his life, especially in fighting cancer, twice. He loved telling stories and loved spoiling the endings of movies by telling the kids “what happened.!” He loved his family and he loved to go camping with them as much as they could. David will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2020 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 AM in the front parking lot of First Baptist Church of Leroy. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ben Posey and Bro. Chris Giles will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
