Donald Lamar DuBose, age 59, passed away at home on July 4, 2020 in Citronelle, AL. He was born on December 29, 1960 to Rivers Clovers DuBose and Bertie Lucille Sheffield DuBose, who preceded him in death. Don is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kathryne Reynolds DuBose of Citronelle AL; son Bryan (Grace) DuBose of Mt. Vernon, AL; brothers Felix (Darlene) Moss of Mobile, AL and James (Shirley) Moss of Dauphin Island, AL; sisters Phyllis Parker-Rosen of Mobile AL, Mary Lou Platt of Citronelle, AL, and Oretha Hubbard of Gulfport, MS; and three grandchildren, Jude DuBose, Alexis DuBose, and Zoe DuBose. Don loved his country, his church, and Alabama Football.. but most of all, he loved Jesus. The first time you met Don, whether you were waiting in line at a store or serving him in a restaurant, he'd say "Let me ask you a quick question; do you know Jesus?" It was his mission to share the gospel of Christ with every single person whose path he crossed. Born with a servant's heart, Don would help anyone in need. If he didn't have it himself, he'd find it for you. Whatever struggle Don endured, he never let it keep him from praising God and encouraging others. Don was always cheerful, with a larger-than-life personality that lit up every room he entered. Don loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed reading, singing, listening to music, and fellowshipping with others. Christmas was his favorite time of the year! Don was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked for many years in the logging industry. His last job was station manager at WRBE 106.9 Radio in Lucedale, MS. He was a faithful member of Power Ministries Chapel in Big Point, MS. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 1 P.M. at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 8951 Old Pascagoula Rd, Theodore, AL with Pastor Dale Thrasher officiating. Flowers can be delivered directly to the gravesite prior to the service. Following the service, Lockler Memorial Baptist Church will host a meal for friends and family at 18995 St. Stephens Rd, Mt.
