Donald Jones Jr. Obituary

In Loving Memory of Mr. Donald Lee Jones Jr.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Mr. Donald Lee Jones Jr. departed this world at his beloved home, embraced by the warmth of his devoted family. For 35 years, he served as a steadfast  in the Citronelle oil field, working his way to Operation's Manager over the Alabama Pump Shop. Earning respect through his integrity, diligence, and unwavering commitment. Donald was not merely a manager, he was a mentor, a leader, and the embodiment of dedication.

Donald was a true son of nature. His heart found solace in the wild, whether hunting beneath autumn skies, fishing in tranquil waters, camping beneath starlit nights, or drifting along the gentle currents of the  Escatawpa (Dog) River. These moments were not just hobbies, but expressions of his spirit—a love for the outdoors that shaped his character and inspired those around him.

For 32 cherished years, Donald shared his life’s journey with his soulmate, Mrs. Pat Jones. Together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Their two sons, Brandon and Preston, grew up with his guidance, following in their father’s footsteps and carrying forward his legacy of resilience and integrity. Donald’s devotion to family was boundless; each day he gave of himself freely and without reserve.

Among his brightest joys was his granddaughter, Cadie, the radiant light of his life. With every smile, she brought happiness to Donald’s heart, affectionately calling him “PeePaw.” Their special bond was a testament to the power of love across generations—a connection that will endure forever.

Donald’s hands were gifted with the magic of growing and nurturing. The family garden was his sanctuary, a place where he cultivated not just vegetables, but hope and abundance. He generously shared his harvest, providing nourishment and joy to family and friends alike. His green thumb was a symbol of his care, generosity, and desire to give back to those he loved.

Donald Lee Jones Jr. was cherished by all who knew him. His kindness, wisdom, and gentle presence left an indelible mark on the community. Though he has passed, his spirit lives on in the memories, stories, and hearts of those fortunate enough to have called him a friend, a mentor, or a loved one. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and dedication will never fade.
