Doris Marie (Purvis) Brown

Doris Marie Brown, of Grove Hill, AL, was born July 31, 1925. She passed away October 11, 2022. Married to Griffin Brown for over 46 years, Mrs. Brown was known as a hard worker, having worked in department stores for many years and always working around her home to keep it beautiful. She had a chihuahua that she adored for a number of years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Griffin Brown, her father Joe Cephus Purvis, and her mother, Flossy Hare Purvis.

She is survived by a daughter, Bettye Sheffield, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and three great great granchildren.

She will be laid to rest in a graveside service at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill, Al., at 2 pm on October 13, 2022, with Br. William Gibbons officiating.
