Eric Doane Akridge

Eric Doane Akridge, 48, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021. He was a 1991 graduate of Washington County High School where he was in the marching band. Eric was First Chair trumpet and played solo’s at ballgames. After graduating he attended Flight Safety Academy in Vera Beach, FL. Eric earned his pilots license and Instrument Instructors license in addition to several more license. Flying & music was his passion. He played the piano and many different instruments. Eric played the piano by ear as well as by note. He was very gifted. Eric was a member of Tibbie Baptist Church. He loved all his children as well as his Mama. Eric also enjoyed spending time with with his family & friends. He was scheduled to be a judge at the upcoming Fiddlers Convention. Eric had a special love for older people. He had a kind & loving heart. Eric loved his dog “June Bug”. He loved his Great Grandmother Big Mama better than anything. She was his heart. “His PawPaw Nichols and Claude Coaker were his best buddies.” Eric will be missed by so many that loved him.

Vistation will be Friday, April 16, 2021, 1:00PM ~ 2:00 PM, at Tibbie Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 16, 2021at 2:00PM. Bro. Woody Baughn & Bro. Ernest Tucker will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
Interment will be at Tibbie Baptist Church Cemetery.
