He was married to his wife, Eleanor, for over 58 years. George and Eleanor attended Union Baptist Church. He was a "jack of all trades". George spent so much time doing upholstery work that he did not have a lot of time for any hobbies. He traveled to Cayman Islands and The Bahamas doing upholstery work when he worked for Dumas Manufacturers. He owned his own business B&C Manufacturers. George was very proud of his work and was very gifted. He also liked to plant a vegetable garden every year and work in it.
