Harold Ray Trimnal
May 29,1950- February 7, 2020
Harold Ray Trimnal, 69, passed away on February 7, 2020, at his home in Chatom, Al. He was a native of North Carolina and a resident of the Hobson Community in Washington County, Al. Ray was a graduate of Shaw High School and attended Hobson Assembly of God. After high school, Ray worked for Delchamps as a supervisor for 14 years, and as a welder at many places, but he retired from Huntsman after 19 dedicated years. Ray was an avid "outdoors man" who loved to fish, hunt (he had just killed a 7 point buck Friday), and work in his yard; in fact, no one was allowed to touch his lawn mower. Ray loved his Long Horn Wintergreen Long Cut skoal, and his response to many statements was always "Mercy". Ray's favorite activities were listening to Bluegrass and "Old" Country music and watching "Gunsmoke" and, of course, his Alabama Football. He would always wear his Alabama shirt on game days and NO phone calls, in or out, were to be made during game time. Ray was NEVER seen without his camouflage hat. Ray loved his family dearly, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents-Joe and Edna Kathleen Trimnal, his sister-Deborah Presley, and his brother-Joseph Durand "Uncle Bubba" Trimnal. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years- Frances Trimnal, his daughters-Tina Trimnal and Jennifer Hembree, his son--Terry (Tabitha) Sexton, his four grandchildren--Brittany Odle, Madeline Hembree, Kayla Sexton, and Harper Sexton, one great-grandchild-Brynlee Turner and one brother Ricky Trimnal.
Visitation will be at Hobson Assembly of God on Monday, February 10, 2020, 11:00 am-12:00 pm with the funeral service to follow. Brother Glen Sullivan and Brother Steve Foster with St. Stephens Funeral Home will be directing and the interment will be at the church cemetery. Pallbearers for Monday's services are Louis Sullivan, Kevin Trimnal, Josh Trimnal, Larry Johns, Bill Robbins, and Bo Roney. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Sandy Branch Hunting Club.
