Hilda Larette (Howard) Younge

Hilda Larette Younge passed peacefully at home surrounded by family November 2, 2023 at the age of 91.

Hilda was born on March 28, 1932 in Tibbie, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Ruby and James Howard. 

Hilda was an incredible woman with a heart of gold. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Hilda was also a woman of great faith. Her devotion to her church and to God will always be remembered and appreciated. She was a long time member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Wagarville, Al where she sung as a choir member for countless years.

She was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved watching the game and yelling ROLL TIDE.

Those left to cherish her memory, daughter Virginia (James) Henderson, sisters Audrey Henderson, Louise (Buck)Buchanan, Grandson John (Charlie) Henderson, Granddaughter Michelle (Garry) Jordan, Seven great grandchildren
Brunden Jordan, Emmalee Jordan, Nick (Kylena)Henderson, Chesney (Coleman)Wilkerson, Harley (Tyler) Newton, Jorja Henderson and Toni Henderson. Along with many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Mrs. Younge is preceded in death by; her husband, Joe Younge; her daughter, Janet Y. Younge; her son, Jimmy Younge; her brother James Buddy Younge and her sister, Yvonne Younge.

Special friends Linda Howard, Olla Mae Bumpers, Margaret Prichett, Sandra Robinson, Ester Pugh, Lillie Mae Toomey, Wayne and Barbara Robinson, Bro Darius Templeton.

A very special Thanks to her great niece Kim Hanks for being there for her whenever she needed her. 

Visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Wagarville, Al. 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral at 11:00 am and Interment to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
