James "Boone" Ivy, 66, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Ivy was a true family man. He was a loving husband to his wife, Rebecca Ivy. They were together for twenty-five years and married for eighteen of those years. They lived in several areas of the United States. He had a passion for driving. He was an over the road truck driver. He was born to drive. He was known to his family and close friends as "Boone". This was also his CB handle. He was able to see a lot of the world, although, his least favorite was New York. When he was home, you could find him outdoors, doing yard work or gardening. He never liked sitting around. He was always doing something. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Royalty, who fondly called him Papa. He was quite the character. He was always cutting up and reminding others of his age. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Mr. Ivy is survived by: His wife, Rebecca Ivy; sisters, Lynn Parker, Stacy Ivy, Sherry Reed, Shannon Enslen; brother, Ricky Ivy; mother, Senora Robinson; daughter, Lenora Franklin; granddaughters, Royalty Reed, Jenora Franklin, Alayna Franklin, Keanna Robinson, Mia Robinson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ivy is preceded in death by: His parents, James Other and Betty Jo Ivy
A memorial service will be announced at a later date and time.
