James Willard Moss, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021. He was a native and resident of Washington County, AL. Willard was a graduate of Washington County High School and later graduated with a teaching degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. He taught math, science, and coached football, baseball, and basketball at Millry, Citronelle and Fruitdale, where he retired and ran for tax assessor, and won. He only had one opponent and that was the first time he ran. Willard held this position for 20 years. He was married to his wife, Mamie for over 50 years. Willard raised vegetable gardens enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He always took his family camping at Peevys Landing and other parks. Willard was a lifelong member of Springbank Baptist Church where he held positions as a deacon and sunday school teacher. He was on the building grounds committee and other church committees. Willard loved all his family very much and they loved him too.

Funeral Service will be Friday, February 12, 2021, 10:00 AM, at Springbank Baptist Church. Bro. Ricky Revette will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Springbank Baptist Church Cemetery.
