Mr. James Bernard Phelan age 61 passed from this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his resident at 2097 Sawmill Rd. Chatom, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents: Florence Jerryln Milstead and Daniel Elmer Phelan. Also his sister Katherine Marie Latham. Survived by his daughter Erica Danielle (Clifton) Byrd and four grandchildren Swayze Phelan, Swayden Byrd, Mary-Syndel Byrd and Schuller Byrd of Bay Minette, AL. 

Brother: Steven (Kim) Lyon of Fruitdale, AL.

Sisters: Pat (Sanford) Richardson of Tibbie, AL, Lori Ann (Herman) Nelson of Chickasaw, AL, Ellen Dees of Deer Park, AL, Nichole (Chad) Baxter of Deer Park, AL, and Krystal (Jacob) Gunter of Saraland, AL. 

Nephews: Lance Lyon, Chance Lyon, Craig Richardson, Brent Richardson, Ashley Dees, Skylar Mosley, Addison Mosley, Kellan Gunter and Jeremy Phelan.

Special mentioning of nephew Kyle Richardson and great nephew Alec Richardson

Nieces: Krista Lyon, Connie Turner, Shellana Knapp, Candy Landry, Kayla Baxter, Jada Baxter, Macy Baxter, Chloe Mosley, and Kendalyn Gunter. Many great nieces and nephews. He loved to hunt and see others have that same enjoyment so In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hope Outdoors in his name. There will be no viewing, but a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 15 at 2:00 at Springbank Baptist Church on highway 56 Chatom.
