Jeff "Poncho" Smith

Jeff "Poncho" Smith, 86, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020. Jeff graduated from high school in Madisonville, TX. He was an avid golfer who played golf every where he went and would even take his son TJ with him. Jeff also enjoyed playing softball and even played in the "Sr Olympics" at the age of 82. He enjoyed watching westerns especially The Virginian. Jeff also loved to read Louis Lamour & other western books and he also liked John Grisham & Web Griffin books. He enjoyed playing World Series Poker on XBOX and also liked eating every flavor of Blue Bell ice cream. With Jeff working construction he traveled all over the United States, but he really loved out west and the mountains. He was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan and his favorite song was "The Walk" by Sawyer Brown. Jeff loved family gatherings and was known as "Poncho" to his family. He will sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be June 22, 2020, 1:00 PM at Wagarville Baptist Church in Wagarville, AL. Bro Lamar Chapman and Bro. Tyler Chastain will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
