Jeremy Milton Powell, age 42 of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away February 19, 2023. He was born in Angleton, Texas, to Milton Powell and Judy Powell (Baldwin). He grew up in Wagarville, Alabama, the oldest of his parent’s 3 children. He was a graduate of Leroy High School, where he participated in the National Honor Society, varsity football, and student government. He was a dedicated and hardworking millwright for the majority of his adult life. Jeremy overcame a lot of obstacles in his life and in recent years he was able to completely turn his life around and started reaching the potential he always had. He renewed his dedication to the Lord and was a shining example of just how much a person’s faith in God could change them.
Jeremy has one daughter that he loved immensely. He was married to the love of his life, Karen Elaine Powell (Carter) who was his saving angel. He was an active church member and volunteer with CHAIR ministry and touched so many people’s lives through his testimony. He enjoyed playing his mandolin and had a talent for wood crafting.
He is preceded in death by his father Milton Powell.
He is survived by his wife Karen Powell, his daughter Brianna Powell, his mother Judy Powell and stepfather Louis Furr Jr, his sisters Lindsey Oxendine (Powell), Lyndsay Carroll, his brothers Caleb Powell, Grant (Courtney) Furr, his nieces Haiden and Kynlie Oxendine, Hadley Furr, nephews Hudson and Collin Carroll, as well as a large loving extended family in Alabama, Oklahoma and Georgia.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Clearwater Assembly of God with the funeral service service to follow at 11:00 a.m. He will be interred in the cemetery there at Clearwater. Bro. Glenn Sullivan will officiate and St. Stephens Funeral Home will direct.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Austin Sullivan, Patrick Wilson, Chris Orso, Dennis Calaway, James Springfield, Joshua Lee, Jeremiah White, and James Sweeney.
Honorary pallbearer will be Krandle Pylant.
