Obituary

Jerry Wayne Dixon, passed away at the age of 65, Monday April 11, 2022. He graduated from Southern Choctaw Highschool, class of 1975 as Valedictorian of his class.  Jerry played the Tuba in the band at Southern Choctaw Highschool. At one time Jerry had been accepted into the Naval Academy.  He attended University of Livingston and graduated with a Bachelors degree Computer Science and Accounting. Jerry was a teacher who taught Computer Science and Accounting at Jefferson Davis in Atmore, AL., Alabama Southern (Coastal Alabama) in Gilbertown, AL. and University of South Alabama.  He also taught Computer Science and Accounting at The Fountain Correctional Facility in Atmore, AL. Jerry enjoyed many things in life but one in particular was reading.  He loved to read all kinds of books but Huckleberry Finn was his favorite.  Jerry loved listening to Classic Rock and the Old Church Hymns.  His favorite song from the Old Church Hymns was "I'll Fly Away".   Jerry will be missed by many.
