In Loving Memory of Mrs. Jewel Sullivan

God called home a precious soul on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, when Mrs. Jewel Sullivan entered into eternal rest. Mrs. Jewel was truly a lady of ladies—prim, proper, organized, and deeply committed to keeping things neat and orderly. She carried herself with grace, dignity, and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know her.

Mrs. Jewel married at a young age and, after high school, worked many jobs and labored faithfully to put herself through college. She was deeply dedicated to her education, attending school for twelve straight years without missing a single day. Her perfect attendance for twelve years was a reflection of her determination, discipline, and strong character.

Mrs. Jewel served the Lord with her whole heart, always leaning on His understanding. She shared her faith through music, playing piano in church and even writing songs. Her talent in music was a beautiful gift, and she used it to bless others and glorify God.

She was employed with the Alabama Career Center System until her retirement in 2002. Mrs. Jewel loved her family dearly and would do anything for them. She was a friend to many and was thoughtful of others, often sending cards for many different occasions to the people she cared about.

Although she never had children of her own, Mrs. Jewel loved her nieces and nephews as if they were hers. To her siblings, she was not only a sister but also a mother figure—someone they loved deeply and cherished with all their hearts.

Mrs. Jewel found profound beauty in all of God’s creations, but she especially loved beautiful flowers. Although her journey on earth has ended, she will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing one of Washington County’s most beautiful ladies. She will be deeply and sorely missed. Survived by: Her brother, Rev. Glenn (Tamera) Sullivan, and her sisters, Kathy (Jason) Sullivan, Norma De La Garza, Sherry Norton and Wanda Lepard.
 She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Arthur and Florence Sullivan; her brothers, Enoch Sullivan and Emmett Sullivan; and her sister, Joyce Coker. Graveside services will be Friday, June 19, 2026, at Clearwater Assembly of God Church Cemetery at 12:00P.M   Officiating will be Rev. Glenn Sullivan, Rev. Randy Grimes and Joshua Sullivan.

If weather is compromising, we will have the service inside the Clearwater Assembly of God Church and there will be no Graveside services. On behalf of the Family and St. Stephens Funeral Home thank you for your understanding.
