Jimmy Earl Jones

Jimmy Earl Jones resident of Gainestown, Alabama went to be with his heavenly father Friday, August 27, 2021 at the age of 83.

Jimmy was born November 22, 1937 in Alma, Alabama. He retired from International Paper Company in 1999 after 43 years of service. He enjoyed turkey hunting, deer hunting, and most of all spending time and making memories with family. Jimmy had many friends and betrayal was not in his vocabulary.  He is a member of Jones Chapel Methodist Protestant Church. He was a Freemason for 48 years and a member of Santa Fe Lodge #226.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Mary Ann Jones (Johnson) of 39 years. His Children: Ann O'Rear (Richard), Wendell Jones (Lynn), Bert Jones (Toni), Stacy Kinman (John), Lauren Picard (Brett). Grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Jake, Ryan, Justin, Heather, Shawn, Nick, Britani, Victoria, Kayleigh, Taylor, Jay, Devin, John, Olivia and Christopher. 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. Brother: Arnold Jones (Ella Mae) and Sister: Vada Stokley.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his Sons: Gary Jones and John Gwin. Grandson: B.J. Jones. Parents: Leslie Marvin Jones and Menta B. Jones. Brothers: Leslie, Hubert, Slater and Charles Jones. Sisters: Margarette Marshall and Hazel Langley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021, 11:00 AM ~ 12:00 PM at Jones Chapel Methodist Protestant in Perry's Chapel Community. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM with Bro. Benny Crawford and Bro. Darrall Marshall officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Jones Chapel Methodist Cemetery.
