Jimmy Shepherd Jr. Obituary

Jimmy David Shepherd Jr, 53, of Coffeeville, Al, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Shepherd loved his family and they loved him just as much. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandkids knew him as Paw-Paw, and his nieces called him Unka Jimmy. They always raided his freezer for popsicles when they came to visit.

Jimmy had a passion for cooking. He loved cooking for his family and others in the community. He enjoyed getting others to taste his food as he was cooking, He would always say, "Here, just taste it."  If he wasn't cooking, you could find him out fishing anywhere he could sink a hook. He was a true Crimson Tide fan, and loved flirting and dancing with the ladies. He enjoyed having fun and making sure that others did too. He was quite the character.

Mr. Shepherd will be dearly missed by his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mr. Shepherd is survived by: His mother, Lois Guy Andrews; son, Justin Shepherd; sisters, ReNee Shepherd, Courtney Shepherd, DeNee (Jerimie) Gates, and grandchildren, Brice Anthony Shepherd, Hunter Drew Shepherd, Elly Shepherd, Ava Shepherd and Hope Shepherd.

Mr. Shepherd is preceded in death by: his father, Jimmy David Shepherd Sr. and brother, Jonathan Shepherd.

Visitation will be held at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville, Al, on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM, funeral at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Jessie Griffith and Renea Henderson officiating, and interment to follow at Ulcanush Baptist Church cemetery, with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
