John N. Waddill, III passed away Monday, July 26, 2021. He was a mechanic for many years, who owned his own business. John worked on motors, radiators and transmissions. He was a special diesel mechanic in Atlanta, GA for many years and he would also run heavy duty equipment in Atlanta and also Clarke County. John also worked as a head maintenance man at Jackson Wood & Fiber. He operated the cranes & the equipment at the chipper mill until he had a bad fall in 2004. John also liked cooking crawfish, shrimp and his 5 pound hamburger "that he was famous for" for everyone in the Jackson, Al. area. He was still going strong until after his 23rd operation where he was given a diagnosis of 6 months to live. After that and two open heart surgeries he never fully recovered from them. John will be missed by so many.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 29, 2021, 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 AM at Walker Springs Road Baptist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. David Webb, Bro. Chesford Carr & Dr. Donnie Harvey officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing.
