Johnny Grey Moseley, 87, passed away Sunday March 20, 2022 at his residence in St. Stephens, Alabama. Johnny Grey was born August 27, 1934. He attended First Baptist Church of Leroy and was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He graduated from Leroy High School in 1955 and worked at Olin Chemical over 42 years. Johnny Grey was a master mason, 33rd Degree Honor Award, of the St. Stephens Masonic Lodge 81. Johnny Grey is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Grady and Fannie Moseley; his sister, Natha Lee Dumas; and his daughter, Debby Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Judy Moseley; one daughter, Marlene Davis (Byron); three granddaughters, Amy Harbuck (Sam), Sydney Scoggins (Stephen), and Meg Davis; four great grandchildren, Dakoda Harbuck, Travis Harbuck, Monroe Scoggins, and Deborah Eleanor Harbuck; one brother, Chester Dean Moseley; two sisters, Carrie Murel Stanford and Vivian Rawlings; two step-sons, Brian Matheson (Valarie) and Chris Matheson (Amy); three step-grandchildren, Austin Matheson (Emily), Jordan Matheson (Taylor), and Lily Matheson; three step-great grandchildren, Eli Matheson, Charlee Matheson, and Beck Matheson.
Visitation for Johnny Grey Moseley will be held at 10:00 A.M and the funeral at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Leroy, Alabama, with Reverend Dave Delegal and Reverend Ben Posey officiating and St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at Jones-Beech Cemetery in Hobson, Alabama.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Pierson, Byron Davis, Stephen Scoggins, Sam Harbuck, Jimmy Jones and Mark Beech. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Dumas, James Harmon, Joe Pace Palmer Sunday School Class, and the St. Stephens Lodge 81.
