Lewis M Shipp

Lewis M. Shipp, 59, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

    Lewis loved to draw and he loved to watch Jimmy Swagart on TV. He loved his mama, and when they were together, they were inseparable. He was a friendly man that loved to hug. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed having company and visiting with family. Every time he would hug someone, he would always tell them, "I'm praying for you." He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mr. Shipp is survived by: His sister, Carolyn (Johnny) Younge; nephews, Matthew (Lesley) Younge, Phillip (Joanie) Younge; great nephews, Austin (Kayla) Younge, Landon Younge; great nieces, Madison Younge, Carly Younge; cousins, Vicky Hartley, Charlotte Guy, and Ricky Preston.

Mr. Shipp is preceded in death by: His parents, William and Rachel Shipp.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at South Oak Grove Church in Fruitdale, Al, at 10:00 AM, funeral at 11:00 AM, with Bro. Don Lee officiating, and interment to follow at Williams Cemetery in Fruitdale, AL.
