Lottie Mae Kent Obituary

Lottie Mae Dolbear May Kent, 99, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at her residence. Born December 25, 1920, Mrs. Kent was the sixth of fifteen children born to Matthew Turner Dolbear and Sarah Jane McDonald Dolbear. A lifelong member of McCann's United Methodist Church, she worked for many years at Vanity Fair and owned and operated a business in North Jackson with her husband, Ivy May.

Mrs. Kent was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ivy May, Lee Carlson, and Bern Kent; one brother and eight sisters. 

She is survived by her children Margaret (Royce) Mathews, Gayle (Joe) Larrimore, Jerry (LaVonne) May, and Susan (John) Waddill; grandchildren Shann Mathews, Adam Mathews, Johnna Larrimore Bush, JoAnna Larrimore Pugh, Kara May Pringle, Meg May Huffman, John Waddill, IV, and Ivy Waddill; eleven great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be held at McCann's United Methodist Church, Jackson, AL, on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM ~ 3:00 PM with the Funeral Service following at 3:00 PM. Gene Dolbear will be officiating with St. Stephens Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson, AL.
