Lucille Goodman, 93, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Mrs. Goodman was a loving and caring woman that loved her family. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and they fondly called her MawMaw. She also enjoyed spoiling all the other children in her neighborhood.
Mrs. Goodman loved planting in her garden. She enjoyed canning vegetables, jams and jellies. She was a true Atlanta Braves fan, and she was one of the best seamstresses around. If anyone needed anything mended, they would take it to her. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Mrs. Goodman is survived by: Her son, Ricky (Dianna) Goodman; her daughters, Reta Etheredge, Lisa McHaney; her grandchildren, Sherri Etheredge, Craig Etheredge, Steven (Kara) Etheredge, Ashley (Richard) Pugh, Kelli Garrett, and her great grandchildren, Ethan Jarman, Kayla Leveridge, and Caleb Pugh.
Mrs. Goodman is preceded in death by: Her parents, Walter and Amanda Kirk; her husband, Elga Goodman; her brothers, Oliver Kirk, Robert Kirk, William Kirk, Douglas Kirk, JT Kirk, and her sisters, Mable Beck, Elizabeth Hare, Lois Britton and Leola Kirk.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Grove Hill, Al, at 1:00PM, funeral at 2:00 PM, with no interment to follow. Directed by St. Stephens Funeral Home.
