Mark Beech Obituary

On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Mr. Mark Andrew Beech went home to be with the Lord. Born and raised in Hobson, Alabama, along the banks of Bassets Creek, Mark grew up surrounded by the natural beauty that he cherished throughout his life. Mark attended and graduated from Washington County High School, forming a foundation for a life marked by dedication, service, and love. Mark met the love of his life, Brenda, with whom he shared forty-eight wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two beautiful children, creating a warm and loving home. To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as Granddaddy, and the bond they shared was filled with adoration and joy. Mark was an active member of The First Baptist Church in Leroy, Alabama, where he served faithfully as Deacon and Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee, as well as participating in the Men's Adult Sunday School Class. His commitment to his faith was evident in every aspect of his life. For many years, Mark was devoted to the Masonic Lodge of St. Stephens, Alabama #81, holding the positions of Treasurer and former Worshipful Master. His leadership and dedication were deeply valued by his fellow members. Mark worked at Ciba Geigy in McIntosh, Alabama until his retirement. His strong work ethic and positive spirit made a lasting impression on his colleagues. Mark found great joy in fishing and spending time in nature. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan, always cheering on his favorite team. Above all, Mark built a legacy of love, kindness, and integrity that will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His life was a testament of devotion to his family, his faith, his community, and his passions. He leaves behind memories cherished by many and a legacy that will endure through those who loved him.
