Martha Sullivan Obituary

Martha Ellen "Aunt Mott" Sullivan passed away July 12, 2020 at Washington County Nursing Home. She was a native of Washington County and a resident of Wagarville.

She graduated from Leroy High School and worked at Vanity Fair Knitting Department until she retired.

Martha believed in God and Jesus Christ and read her Bible daily. She was baptized at Clearwater Church by Bro. Jimmie Butts along with her sister Peggy and husband Horace and great niece Jamie Jones.

She loved the holidays and going to her sister Peggy's house to be with the family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Chester Leon and Hilda Anita Keith Sullivan; sisters Betty Carpenter, Marie Moore; niece Brenda Emmons and nephew Danny Ray McCormick, Jr.

Survivors include her sister Peggy (Horace) Sullivan; nephews Ryan Sullivan, Steve (Terri) Carpenter, Shane Moore; and nieces Paula Jones, Debbie (Kim) Kelly, Dawn (Mark) Leon and Donna (Tommy Lee) Mercer; a host of great nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to Debbie Kelly who has been there every since day one that Martha was admitted to the hospital. Thank you Horace, Ryan, Paula and Jamie.

Thank you so very much to Dr. Donald, Jackie Giles for her updates, Jessica Carpenter, Lesley Dunn, Kristal who was there when Martha passed, the nurse from Legacy Hospice and all the nursing staff from Washington County Nursing Home. You are all the best!!

 

A Memorial Graveside Service will Saturday, August 1, 2020, 10:00 AM at Clearwater Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
