Maxine Elliott Obituary

Maxine Havelin Elliott, 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Elliot was a very independent, strong willed woman that loved the Lord. She loved spending time with her family. She was blessed to have such a large family, with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved tremendously, and like wise they, loved her, and they fondly called her Granny. Her smile would light up a room every time they came to visit.

Mrs. Maxine was quite the character that loved to laugh. She was known as the wise crack of the family. She was always quick with a come back with everything someone had to say. She enjoyed her morning coffee. She loved doing yard work, her color puzzles on her phone, and playing solitaire. She could not miss her daily "story" of the Young and the Restless. She always had to know what Victor, one of the characters, was doing.

Mrs. Elliott will be sorely missed, by all of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by: Her sons, Tony (Michelle) Hodge, Mike Hodge; daughter, Tonya Montgomery; grandchildren, Wendy, Jason, Jacob, Bobby, Marlana, Brian, Timmothy, Jacinda, and Timmothy lll., and fourteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Elliott is preceded in death by: Her parents, Willie and Carrie Havelin; brothers, Royce, James, Danny, Duck, and sisters, Joyce, Louise, and Sharon.

A memorial service will be announced at a latter date and time.
