Maxine Stanley Williams, 86, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. She graduated with her class of 1952 from Jackson High School. Maxine met her husband of over 60 years, Jesse, at Vanity Fair. She was a member of River Hill Baptist Church where she was actively involved in teaching ACT Teens, GA'S & VBS. Maxine was known as "Queen of Cooking" and would give everyone cookbooks with her favorites recipes in them. Sunflowers were her favorite flowers and in the years past she would help raise a huge vegetable garden along with fruit trees. Maxine always made pickles and she enjoyed picking dewberries with her children and making delicious cobblers with them. For Christmas every year she would give all her grandchildren "gag" gifts. She loved her family and friends very much and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
