Mrs. Melba peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Melba’s devotion to her family was unmatched. She loved each of her family members beyond measure, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her heart overflowed with love for every one of them. A talented and creative soul, Mrs. Melba found joy in making heartfelt gifts. She delighted in crocheting, painting, sewing, and sharing her beautiful creations with those she loved. Her artistic spirit was woven into every thoughtful item she made. Mrs. Melba was also a gifted musician. She played instruments ranging from the piano to fiddles, filling her home and the hearts of those around her with music. Her love for the Lord was steadfast, and her faith and trust in Him served as an inspiration to all who knew her. An exceptional cook and baker, Mrs. Melba was especially known for her delicious homemade breads. There was nothing she could not cook, and she took great pleasure in preparing meals for her family. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of her culinary creations, and she enjoyed every moment spent cooking for those she cherished. Mrs. Melba was a precious soul whose warmth, generosity, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of faith, love, and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered always with love and gratitude.
She is survived by her sons, Mike (Regina) Albertson, Charles Ray Davis and Benjamen (Tammi) Davis. Daughter Lesa (Ralph) Gunter, Sister Nita (Ricky) Cooley and a host of Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
She is Preceded in death by her parents Clyde A. and Melba L. Griggers, Brother, Clyde "AL" Griggers Jr. Daughter, Dana Jean Davis Batley.
Services are Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Rockville Baptist Church in Rockville, Alabama Visitation is at 10:00 A.M and Funeral at 11:00 A.M Interment to follow at the Rockville Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be her son-in-law Bro: Ralph Gunter.
